The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation & treatment of inpatients outpatients emergency room patients observation status patients and swing bed patients. The physical therapist uses modalities exercises and training techniques to manage pain improve mobility function activities of daily living and quality of life under the supervision of the Director of Therapeutic Services. The Physical Therapist is also responsible for supervising the Physical Therapist Assistant(s) in the Director of Therapeutic Services absence.
Job Responsibilities- Assess patients physical and functional abilities to determine therapy goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to improve patients motor skills and daily living activities.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance patients strength coordination and dexterity.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and use of adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support for outpatient rehabilitation and community reintegration. Maintain compliance with occupational therapy standards regulations and protocols. Participate in team meetings as necessary
- Stay updated on the latest Physical Therapy techniques and advancements.
Job Requirements- Graduate of a college with an accredited program in PhysicalTherapy
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Physical Therapist
- Proven experience working as an Physical Therapist preferably in a similar setting
- Strong knowledge of therapy treatment practices and techniques
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in computer skills including electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to lift and move patients as necessary
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements
