Scope of Project

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) the Medicaid Agency for South Carolina is seeking two (2) Enterprise Project Managers Advanced to manage and oversee multiple IT initiatives supporting Medicaid systems and healthcare delivery projects.

The selected consultants will lead medium to complex IT projects and work closely with internal teams business stakeholders and external vendors to manage project planning execution risk management reporting and delivery.

Each Project Manager may be responsible for multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project plans and ensure execution according to plan
Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements
Manage project risks issues and mitigation strategies
Track and ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables
Provide status reporting and executive-level updates
Coordinate with internal teams leadership and vendors
Manage project documentation including metrics reports and governance artifacts
Ensure project quality and adherence to timelines
Support portfolio and program planning activities
Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams

Required Skills

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
3 5 years of project management experience
1 3 years of project management experience in a healthcare insurance IT environment
Project planning experience including:
effort estimation
technical task planning
resource allocation

Preferred Skills

Experience working on Medicaid or Healthcare Delivery Systems
Experience with project management tools including:
SharePoint
MS Project
Visio
PowerPoint
Word
Excel
Access

Additional Skills

Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Risk management and mitigation planning experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present to executive leadership
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
Ability to coordinate teams with competing priorities
