Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Southfield MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to alarms and/or tenant concerns with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service to support residents visitors and property teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors common areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions such as unauthorized entry loitering and/or maintenance issues and communicate findings per post orders.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports with clear accurate details and assist with de-escalation and/or customer assistance requests in accordance with site guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
