Job Summary:
The HR Business System Analyst leads the design development implementation and support of complex business intelligence analytical solutions for UCI Human Resources. This role leverages people analytics dashboards and tools to drive high-level analyses diagnose root cause issues translate data into insights and provide proactive recommendations to influence business strategy and decision-making.

Responsibilities:
- Develop complex analytics forecasts data modeling and reporting to meet desired business outcomes.
- Consult with end users to gather and clarify data and reporting needs for complex business intelligence solutions and analytics.
- Write queries and develop report templates and dashboards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify opportunities to leverage technology for information delivery and business capability expansion.
- Perform predictive analysis and forecasting to provide information that supports organizational goals.
- Mine data to quantify relationships and identify issues warranting further analysis.
- Use data mining model building and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain business unit information and predictive models.
- Monitor data sources identify issues and coordinate solutions to data collection/management challenges.
- Validate reporting results against requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust data security models.
- Create sustainable and appealing visual data representations.
- Design intuitive dashboards that enable role-based drill-down/employee self-service capabilities.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience developing dashboards and data sources with BI software such as Tableau Power BI SSRS etc.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a BI Administrator with direct experience implementing managing and monitoring published workbooks and data sources software upgrades extract refreshes product keys and licenses and user access requests.
- Proficient in all MS Office applications BI/database applications and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability in transforming raw operational data into actionable insightful findings metrics KPIs and dashboards.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Cognos report writing and development.
Special Considerations:
- Remote work is acceptable but the candidate must work PST.
- Project timeline: 2-3 months with the possibility of extension.
