Job Summary:
The CAD Operator I role involves performing moderately complex drafting tasks using CADD software. The operator will prepare sketches diagrams and detailed drawings based on data from engineers and designers ensuring constructability and consistency with design intent. This role also includes assisting other CAD Operators and managing multiple projects while adhering to priorities set by the Design Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Prepares preliminary sketches and schematic diagrams.
- Creates wiring diagrams layout details and assembly drawings.
- Develops detailed drawings of parts assemblies and related items.
- Revises existing drawings and organizes design drawings.
- Assists other CAD Operators in skill development.
- Expedites work according to priorities set by the Design Supervisor.
- Handles multiple projects and adjusts to changing requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Working knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of drafting practices and standards.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Raster Design.
- Experience with Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Basic oral communication skills.
- Understanding of related design disciplines.
- High School diploma or Technical trade school certification.
