Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in a high-risk (level 3) OB environment. This includes patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires strong communication and the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Location:Chicago Illinois United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care in a Labor & Delivery setting.
- Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs as required.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately in Cerner.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of high-risk (level 3) OB experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- AWHONN Advanced certification.
Special Considerations:

- Mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facilitys discretion.
- Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month requirement.
- No RTO on weekends holidays or the day prior/after a holiday.
Scheduling:
- 3x12s shifts 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM.
- No block scheduling.
