Job Summary:
This role requires an Interventional Radiologist Registered Nurse with a strong background in Cath Lab procedures. The position involves working with a diverse patient population participating in call rotations and potentially floating to other units. The role requires proficiency in various interventional radiology procedures equipment operation and patient care skills.
Location:Santa Barbara California United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Participate in call rotations as required by the unit.
- Float to other units as needed.
- Perform IV starts phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Operate C-Arms and manage contrast administration.
- Assist with TAVR Watchman and MitraClip procedures.
- Support IR/Angio/Special Procedures including stents ablations angioplasty and angiograms.
- Assist with paracentesis thoracentesis nephrogram and kyphoplasty.
- Manage peripherals biopsies drainages and upper/lower extremity procedures.
- Support abdominal pelvic genitourinary vascular and neurological studies.
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 4 years of Cath Lab experience.
- BLS certification.
- CRT certification (prior to start).
- Flouro Permit.
- Experience with IV Starts Phlebotomy EKGs PACs Portables C-Arm Contrast.
- Experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment.
- Inpatient experience.
- COVID-19 Vaccination
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS certification.
- ARRT certification.
- ARRT Advanced certification.
- NMTCB certification.
- EPIC Work Setting Experience: Outpatient ER Level I Trauma Community Hospital Adult ICU
- Experience with GE Toshiba Acuson and Hitachi equipment.
Special Considerations:
- High cost of living area.
- Call required.
- Floating required.
- All RTO must be on initial submittal and limited to 3-4 days.
