Job Summary:
The GI/Endo Technician assists physicians and nurses in performing endoscopic procedures including Per UD EUS EBUS ERCP ION Colonoscopy and Bronchoscopy. This role requires on-call availability including every 5th weekend and the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures.
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and supplies.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Collect and label specimens.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- Experience with Per UD EUS EBUS ERCP ION Colonoscopy and Bronchoscopy procedures
- CNA license

- N/A
Special Considerations:
- On-call requirement every 5th weekend.
- Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Only one time-off request of 5 days or less is permitted per 13-week assignment.
- No holiday RTO for Auto Offer.
Scheduling:
- 4x10-hour day shifts (40 hours per week).
- On-call every 5th weekend.
- Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks; traveler can be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks.
