The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications maintaining inventory and providing customer service. - Accurately fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Compound medications according to established procedures.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
- Manage stock levels and order medications as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Provide customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping.
- Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment and work areas.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician certification.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and calculations.
- Experience with medication dispensing systems.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- USP 797 and USP 800 experience.
