Job Title: Technical Product Manager

Location: Oakland CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: $80 to $85

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and own the product roadmap for backend platforms including data CI/CD and DevOps ecosystems.
Align platform initiatives with business goals and engineering needs.
Prioritize features based on scalability performance reliability and cost optimization.
Technical Platform Ownership

Develop strong backend understanding of platforms such as:

Snowflake (data warehousing performance tuning governance)
GitHub (version control branching strategies GitHub Actions)
Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines automation frameworks)
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Translate technical capabilities into product requirements and user stories.
Ensure architecture decisions support long-term platform scalability and maintainability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Engineering DevOps Data Engineering Security and Architecture teams.
Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Lead sprint planning backlog grooming and release planning sessions.
Platform Optimization & Governance
Drive automation reliability monitoring and observability initiatives.
Define SLAs SLOs and performance KPIs for platform services.
Ensure compliance with security governance and data protection standards.

Stakeholder Communication

Communicate product vision progress and risks to leadership.
Create executive-ready documentation and technical briefs.
Support change management and adoption strategies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).
5 years of experience in Product Management with strong technical background.

Hands-on or strong working knowledge of:

Snowflake or similar data warehouse technologies
GitHub (repositories branching pull requests CI integration)
Jenkins (pipeline automation CI/CD frameworks)
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Strong understanding of backend architecture APIs microservices and system integrations.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Ability to read technical documentation and engage in architecture discussions.
