Job Summary

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trailer Technician to support the inspection maintenance and repair of company trailers. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe reliable and DOT-compliant equipment.

Requirements
Responsibilities:

Perform inspections diagnostics repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers
Troubleshoot and repair air brake systems suspension systems and electrical components
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure trailers meet all regulatory requirements
Identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs
Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection documentation
Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 3 years of trailer technician or related mechanical experience
Strong working knowledge of air brake systems suspension systems and electrical theory
Understanding of DOT compliance and inspection standards
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
Proficient with hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CDL preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand walk bend kneel squat and climb for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to work in shop and outdoor environments including exposure to heat cold dust noise and grease
Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
Manual dexterity to use tools and perform detailed mechanical work
