Real Estate Paralegal
About the Role:
An established and globally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its dynamic legal team. This role supports attorneys within the commercial real estate practice and plays a key part in managing complex real estate transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing processes.
Working under the guidance of the Associate Director of Paralegals and Real Estate Team leadership you will assist with a wide range of transactional matters including commercial real estate acquisitions financing leasing and development. The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced legal environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned real estate paralegal who enjoys taking ownership of transactions and contributing to high-value deals while working alongside experienced attorneys and legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate documentation and closing processes for commercial real estate transactions including sales acquisitions leasing and mortgage financing
- Review title commitments title documents and surveys
- Assist with due diligence related to real estate transactions
- Draft and prepare transaction documents closing documents loan documentation and correspondence
- Ensure pre-closing preparation and post-closing follow-up are completed accurately and on time
- Conduct legal research including retrieval of statutes and regulations
- Perform electronic legal research using platforms such as Westlaw Lexis and online databases
- Record documents with relevant Recorders Offices
- Correspond with clients attorneys and external organizations via phone email and written communications
- Maintain organized documentation and files for complex and high-volume transactions
- Track and enter time records on a daily basis
- Support attorneys with additional legal and administrative tasks as required
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven experience supporting commercial real estate transactions including title and survey review due diligence drafting and closing processes
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining well-organized files
- Strong analytical organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to think independently problem-solve and manage projects with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work additional hours when transaction timelines require it
- Reliable attendance and the ability to report to work on scheduled days and times
- Bachelors degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 6 10 years of experience in real estate transactional work including title and survey projects
- Occasional travel may be required
Compensation:
The estimated compensation range for candidates located in California Colorado Illinois and New York is $120000 $150000 depending on experience qualifications and market considerations.
Additional compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus along with a comprehensive benefits package.
