Paralegal

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our New York City office. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with experienced attorneys on complex and meaningful litigation matters. You will play a critical role in supporting case strategy ensuring procedural compliance and helping drive cases forward from intake through resolution.

This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced legal environment enjoy analytical work and take pride in producing high-quality accurate legal documentation. You will gain hands-on exposure to substantive legal work client interaction and litigation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with attorneys clients court personnel and outside professionals regarding assigned cases and projects.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research including analysis of statutes regulations case law and other legal authorities; prepare written summaries and memoranda.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings motions affidavits discovery requests interrogatories and correspondence.
  • File pleadings and motions in accordance with court rules and judicial procedures including electronic filings.
  • Organize maintain and manage case files including exhibits deposition transcripts discovery materials and evidence.
  • Assist with trial preparation including preparing exhibits witness materials and trial binders.
  • Interview clients and witnesses and prepare comprehensive summaries of statements.
  • Manage attorney calendars track deadlines and ensure timely filings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Prior paralegal legal assistant or relevant internship experience preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology court procedures and legal research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation:

The annualized salary range for this position is $45000 to $55000 based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation may vary based on geographic location work experience market conditions education and skill level.
