JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Maker II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints engineering drawings and aircraft specifications
Assemble cabinet shells including pinning and gluing components
Install hardware such as drawer slides hinges and latches
Apply exterior finishing materials including laminates veneers and cap strips
Operate stationary and handheld power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture components
Follow all safety protocols 5S standards and housekeeping requirements
Use material tracking systems to manage parts demand track defects and complete work sign-offs
Support process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methods
Work with senior technicians to help improve safety reduce cost shorten cycle time and improve efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of cabinetmaking experience
Preferred experience in the aerospace industry
Ability to read write speak and understand English
Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking tools materials and processes
Computer literacy required
Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in confined or restricted spaces
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work any assigned shift
Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications is preferred
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
