Tekberry is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Software Engineer Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to support our client a global leader in automotive technology and digital marketplaces. This role will support the Manheim Logistics SRE team responsible for designing building and maintaining AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines supporting 15 development teams.

The SRE team focuses on infrastructure reliability automation and operational excellence through infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) containerized deployments (Docker) and AWS-native architecture. This engineer will work closely with development teams to improve monitoring deployment reliability system observability and software delivery performance while helping reduce operational risk and recovery time.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Reliability Engineering
Design implement and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting multiple development teams
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform
Support containerized infrastructure environments using Docker
Build and improve automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes

Monitoring Observability & Incident Response
Design and maintain monitoring alerting and observability systems
Define and manage service level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets
Improve reliability predictability and availability of software systems
Reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR) through improved monitoring and automated remediation

DevOps & Automation
Automate testing deployment and monitoring workflows
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement DevSecOps best practices
Improve software release workflows and operational tooling
Develop internal automation tools supporting platform reliability and deployment management

Engineering Collaboration
Partner with engineering teams across multiple release trains to support scalable infrastructure patterns
Assist development teams with infrastructure design and operational best practices
Troubleshoot complex production issues and recommend long-term improvements

Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
5 years of experience in software engineering DevOps or site reliability engineering
Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Experience with Docker and container-based deployments
Linux / Unix systems administration experience
Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as New Relic Splunk or PagerDuty
Strong problem-solving and system troubleshooting skills
Strong written communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS services such as ECS Lambda Step Functions S3 SQS SNS Cognito WAF and Elasticache
Experience automating Terraform deployments at scale
Experience with database platforms such as RDS MySQL or PostgreSQL
.NET Core development experience
Experience with GitHub and Git-based workflows
Linux system administration experience
Experience working within Agile development environments
