Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Software Engineer I to work hybrid with our client. This is a full-time contract role with the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. As a Tekberry W2 employee you will have access to health benefits including dental and vision.

This role will support the development of ERP solutions used by automotive dealerships. The engineer will collaborate with product and development teams to design and build scalable capabilities within the Nextworld ERP platform while leveraging modern programming practices and AI-assisted development tools.

Collaborate with developers and product partners to design and implement ERP solutions for automotive dealership operations.
Translate feature requests into functional system capabilities within the Nextworld platform.
Develop and maintain applications using languages such as C# .NET Java or Python.
Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate learning development and testing quality.
Build test and maintain APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications.
Continuously evaluate and optimize existing solutions to improve scalability and performance.
Participate in Agile development processes including design reviews testing and documentation.
Stay current on new ERP platform features and incorporate improvements into ongoing development efforts.
Collaborate with distributed team members across time zones to support continuous development cycles.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline - or equivalent practical experience.
0 2 years of professional software development experience.
Programming experience in at least one language (C# .NET Java Python or similar).
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience working with databases and basic data modeling concepts.
Familiarity with APIs microservices architecture and unit/integration testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Eligible to work in the U.S. (USC/GC required).
Able to work onsite in Draper UT approximately 2 3 days per week.

Exposure to ERP systems or enterprise business applications.
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms such as Nextworld Appian or Salesforce.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot) for code development and testing.
Experience with Agile methodologies and configuration/scripting tools.
Exposure to consumer-facing applications and modern testing frameworks.
