Job Summary

Title: WCS Lead Consultant

Location: Palmetto GA USA and Mcdonough(Ga) (GA) (Onsite/hybrid)

Duration: Long term contract
Minimum Years of Experience: 10 Years

Key Clarifications from PM: This role is focused on Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) / Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) within a highly automated distribution center environment.

Client is looking for a WCS/WES SME who understands warehouse automation systems system integrations with WMS and end-to-end warehouse operational workflows.
Candidate should be able to analyze troubleshoot and support automation systems running in warehouse environments.
Preferred exposure to Manhattan WMS and experience working in retail distribution centers.

The consultant should have strong exposure to warehouse automation technologies such as:

Robotic picking systems
Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS)
Conveyor and sorter systems
Scanners weighing systems and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Candidate must understand system integrations between automation systems and WMS including:

Messaging between automation systems and WMS
APIs message queues host interfaces or socket communication
Data flow between WCS/WES and WMS

Strong understanding of warehouse operations is required including:

Inbound processes (receiving putaway)
Outbound processes (picking packing shipping)
Inventory management and warehouse workflows
