Variable Compensation (In Addition to Base Pay)
  • Meetings Held (MH): $50 per meeting held

  • Closed Wins (CW) from MH: $75 per deal closed

Role Overview

The In-Field Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales meetings with restaurant owners and key decision-makers within an assigned territory.

This role focuses on high-volume in-person prospecting introducing restaurants to a leading online delivery and commerce platform and demonstrating how the platform can help businesses grow orders attract new customers and improve operational efficiency.

Field SDRs collaborate closely with the Outside Sales team to build a strong pipeline of potential restaurant partners and play a key role in expanding the platforms local merchant network.

Key Responsibilities Field Prospecting & Merchant Engagement
  • Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within the assigned territory each week.

  • Identify and engage restaurant owners or key decision-makers during short in-person conversations.

  • Deliver a clear and compelling value proposition demonstrating how the platform can help restaurants increase orders reach new customers and optimize operations.

Sales Pipeline Development
  • Schedule qualified meetings between restaurant prospects and Outside Sales Account Executives.

  • Accurately log visits conversations and meeting outcomes in sales systems such as CRM tools.

  • Partner with Account Executives to align on target accounts priority merchants and follow-up strategies.

Territory & Activity Management
  • Plan and manage daily field routes to maximize productivity and meeting generation.

  • Conduct follow-ups via phone text or email to confirm scheduled meetings and maintain merchant engagement.

  • Maintain detailed activity tracking and documentation within CRM systems.

Performance & Market Insights
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly performance targets related to:

    • Meetings scheduled

    • Meetings held

    • Revenue generated through successful partnerships

  • Serve as the local voice of merchants by sharing market insights and feedback that help improve products and sales strategies.

Qualifications Required
  • 1 year of experience in one of the following:

    • Outbound sales

    • Canvassing

    • Field marketing

    • Customer-facing roles focused on new business generation

  • Experience may come from sales hospitality retail or service industry environments

  • Comfortable having high-volume short in-person conversations daily

  • Ability to clearly communicate a platforms value proposition to local businesses

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory

  • Flexibility to work restaurant-friendly hours including:

    • Early mornings

    • Evenings

    • Occasional weekends

Preferred
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce Outreach or similar platforms

  • Experience working with restaurants food & beverage businesses or local merchants
