Role Overview

Oversee the reliability security and lifecycle of Train Control computer systems and industrial networks. You will lead a technical team to ensure 100% uptime for high-availability RedHat and Windows environments in a high-pressure real-time transit setting.

Key Responsibilities

System Admin: Design and maintain high-availability RedHat Linux and Windows Server environments.
Network Security: Configure and secure fault-tolerant SCADA networks (routers switches firewalls).
Technical Leadership: Direct support staff in troubleshooting and serve as the technical lead for management.
Operational Integrity: Ensure 24/7 uptime across four control facilities; participate in an on-call rotation.
Compliance: Develop industrial security policies and comprehensive technical documentation.

Core Requirements

Experience: 7 10 years managing real-time SCADA or Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
Systems Mastery: Advanced RedHat and Windows administration including virtualization and clustering.
Networking: Deep expertise in ruggedized network architecture and industrial firewalls.
Education: Bachelors degree in CS or Engineering (Masters preferred).
Niche Knowledge: Familiarity with railroad signaling or transit operations is a major plus.
Flexibility: Ability to travel 25% and work nights/weekends for emergency outages.
