This position is for a Designer to support internal/external customers by creating design and manufacturing data.

Specific Role Functions:

Develop detailed aircraft interior layout drawings from written customer specifications.

Conduct reviews with internal Sales Engineering and Manufacturing groups to evaluate and finalize design drawings for external customer approval.

Create 2D drawings and 3D models to support the manufacturing of exterior paint schemes.

Create 2D drawings for flooring layouts and other various manufacturing aids.

Create and maintain various drawings to reflect evolving Program Customer and/or Engineering requirements.

Assist Sales and Engineering with innovative solutions for custom requirements.

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with business aircraft cabin design and development.
Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree Drafting Design Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Proficient in operating CAD equipment.

Position Purpose:

Create design drawings for manufacturing of aircraft parts assemblies and installations working from customer specifications and instructions. Ensure that activities are in line with internal/external customers FAA requirements and Gulfstream processes to achieve department objectives.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Conduct research for information on existing drawings hardware vendor parts etc. relating to job task.

Evaluate customer requirements and provides recommendations related to the design.

Identify problems and provides solutions to designs.

Coordinate design work with other departments engineers and designers as order to complete in a timely manner.

Additional Functions:

Enforce safety rules and procedures. .

Ensure application of all Gulfstream regulations and policies. .

Perform other duties as job requires one to be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
