POSITION TITLE: Middle School Classroom TeacherSUPERVISOR: Building PrincipalQUALIFICATIONS:New Hampshire DOE Middle School teaching degree from an accredited college or university in Middle School Education or a related discipline applicable to the teaching Degree in a related area to three years of successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is : Serving grades 5-8 under the general supervision of the School Principal this role facilitates student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills by implementing district-approved curriculum documenting student progress addressing specific educational needs and creating a safe optimal learning SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy as well as differentiating instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of Middle School curriculum and concepts including all subject matters taught. Knowledge of data information systems data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and to use computer network systems and software applications as to organize and coordinate work and communicate effectively with students and to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and administers school curriculum consistent with school district initiatives goals and objectives. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group lesson plans into learning experiences to best utilize available instructional all required subject matters assigned to the grade level (e.g. reading language arts social studies mathematics science art health physical education and music).Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual and implements IEP and 504 plans for caseload parental involvement and ensures effective communication with students and student conduct conforms with school standards and district with other professional staff members to evaluate curriculum and participates in faculty and requisitions appropriate books instructional aids and students in activities outside the classroom including school students in the principles of responsible citizenship and administrative a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and standardized tests in accordance with District testing other position-related tasks as assigned by the Principal or Central Office MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED:Occasionally: Stooping Kneeling Crouching Reaching Walking Pushing Pulling Fingering Grasping and Repetitive : : Talking and Hearing (perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels).Seldom: Crawling and Lifting (up to 10 lbs).Vision: Required to have close visual acuity for data analysis viewing a computer terminal and extensive : Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
