Job purpose:
This role will report into the Managing Direct of HCC Specialty but will be supporting a team of 30 based in London Paris Barcelona Dusseldorf and Brussels.
This role is highly varied with no two days being the same. The role requires you to work both autonomously and with an approachable and friendly wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Secretarial Support
- Manage the diaries of 3 Senior Underwriters and the Managing Director HCC Specialty
- Place reservations and coordinate business trips including booking all travel via our centralised travel team.
- Scheduling meetings set up rooms and arranging catering when requested.
- Agenda preparation minute taking and tracking action points for key meetings.
- Access to mailboxes to filter information and manage email traffic for key team members.
- Process and reconcile expense reports.
- Format and proofread documents reports and presentations.
- Managing the setup of new staff.
Business Development & Project Support
- Support marketing initiatives including help with social media (LinkedIn)
- Event coordination
- Provide ad-hoc support for projects and business growth.
- Communicating with clients brokers partners and internal teams.
Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Outstanding communications skills both verbal and written at all levels within the business.
- Proficient use of presentation tools (PowerPoint Excel Word etc.)
- Able to multi task and effectively prioritise workload
- Detail oriented and intuitive
- Excellent customer service skills
- Works well under pressure
- Takes ownership of problems and tasks
- Independent and self-confident
- Conscientious
- Punctual loyal discreet and reliable
- Team player
Desirable
- Experience of working for senior leaders within in a Financial Services organisation.
- Experience of working within Insurance
