Job Summary

PRIMARY PURPOSE
To provide small group or one on one instruction to identified students attending
summer academy. Thisposition is designed to provide academicsupport for students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification
Student Tutor: Current Amarillo ISD Student or2026 Graduate of Amarillo ISD $10.00 an hour
Special Knowledge/Skills
Proficiency in all subjects including math reading and writing.
The ability to work effectively and harmoniously with students and
school personnel.
Able to follow written and/or oral directions and to exercise good
judgement.
Utilize effective verbal and written communications skills as well as a
high degree of literacy and higher-order thinking skills.
Work Conditions
Possess acute and/or corrected visual and hearing capabilities.
Must have ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Must possess the manual dexterity and physical capabilities to
perform all job requirements.
Minimum Experience
Experience workingwith elementary and/or secondary students is preferred.
Basic to advancedknowledge and understanding of the subject being taught.
