Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated part-time Instructional Design Intern to join UFIT Center for Instructional Technology and Training a unit within UFIT at the start of the summer 2026 semester until the end of spring 2027. The intern will work alongside instructional designers and technologists. Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Create and remediate course content for accessibility and coach others on utilizing accessibility best practices.
  • Design and facilitate workshops related to teaching with technology.
  • Evaluate and test educational technology.
  • Explore the intersection of teaching technology and generative AI.


Some key learning outcomes for the student intern are:

  • Develop skills in remediating complex content for accessibility and evaluate accessibility tools for teaching.
  • Identify and evaluate evidence of quality instructional technology and teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the design and facilitation of faculty development.
  • Experiment with new educational technologies that can be utilized at a course or institutional level that fill a need for the stakeholder.

Expected Salary:

The ideal candidate will possess the following education experience and skills:

  • Educational and/or professional background in education or related field
  • Knowledge of instructional design and educational technology principles
  • Event organization marketing or leadership
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Interest in impacting the student experience through highlighting issues and technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
