We are supporting a leading energy and utilities organization in identifying experienced Mechanical Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineers with a strong background in nuclear power plant design engineering.
This role will focus on developing engineering change packages for active nuclear facilities supporting system upgrades modifications and equipment obsolescence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement design modifications for plant systems including upgrades and obsolete equipment solutions
Coordinate system changes across multiple engineering disciplines vendors and system interfaces
Ensure all work aligns with nuclear safety standards and regulatory requirements
Act as a key technical liaison between engineering teams operations vendors and regulatory stakeholders
Apply the NEI Standard Design Process and configuration management best practices
Support knowledge sharing and mentorship related to nuclear design and engineering change processes
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or I&C Engineering
4 years of nuclear power plant experience including:
At least 2 years working within the NEI Standard Design Process
Experience with 10 CFR 50.59 Applicability Determinations and Screenings
Strong understanding of nuclear plant systems and design engineering principles
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
