We are looking for a hands-on and analytical Failure Analysis (FA) Technician to support semiconductor device failure investigations. This role is critical in identifying root causes of product failures through electrical testing physical analysis and advanced fault isolation techniques. You will work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to drive corrective actions and support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment.
Perform electrical testing using curve tracer parametric analyzer (PDA) and device application test setups.
Operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope power supply function generator and multimeter.
Conduct failure analysis using various FA techniques including:
External and internal visual inspection
Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM)
Micro-probing
EMMI and OBIRCH fault isolation
Cadence LVS verification
Sample preparation and cross-sectioning
Optical microscopy SEM EDX and FIB analysis
Prepare comprehensive FA reports with clear findings and potential root cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering Process Quality) to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support lab maintenance activities including 5S housekeeping and tool upkeep.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to enhance team competency.
Participate in the setup qualification and ownership of new FA tools and equipment.
Ensure strict compliance with EHS and ESD requirements in the laboratory.
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in electrical testing such as Curve Tracer PDA and application testing for IC products (Logic Bipolar Power MOS devices).
Hands-on experience in semiconductor failure analysis is preferred.
Good understanding of semiconductor devices including Diodes Transistors MOSFETs Analog and Logic devices.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and documentation skills (FA reporting).
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical findings clearly.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
