8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Compensation:
Up to $1050/week Local Rate
Up to $1222/week Travel Rate
Position Overview:
A leading healthcare facility in New York is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join their team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital or laboratory experience and demonstrate proficiency in blood collection and specimen handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify patient identity by reviewing identification documents.
Assess patient history and determine appropriate blood draw procedures.
Select appropriate gauge needles and prepare venipuncture or fingerstick sites.
Perform blood collection through venipuncture or capillary methods.
Label and prepare specimens accurately for laboratory transport.
Ensure proper documentation of patient information specimen volume and diagnostic notes.
Maintain accurate records of procedures performed.
Clean maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Communicate diagnostic notes and findings to physicians and healthcare staff as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in:
Hospital settings
Commercial laboratories
Blood banks
Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
BLS Certification (AHA) Required
