Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary punctures ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The phlebotomist must adhere to safety protocols and provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samples.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control policies.
- Provide excellent patient care and address patient concerns.
- Enter data into electronic medical database systems.
- Answer phone calls and direct calls accordingly.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- CPT I certification (Active in the state of CA)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Epic and Beaker systems
Special Considerations:
- Potential to float to sister facilities.
