Job Summary

Assistant Volleyball Coach

Colby Community College is seeking a dynamic student-focused leader to serve as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. This is an opportunity to shape student-athletes futures while living in a welcoming community that values agriculture athletics and small-town quality of life. The salary for this position is $20690. This is a part-time 10-month contracted position. Health insurance is offered with this position.

The Opportunity

This is a 9-month (mid-August - May) part-time non-faculty position. Evening weekend and travel commitments are required.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach in planning organizing and conducting practices and training sessions that promote skill development.
Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to student-athletes to enhance technical tactical and mental performance.
Support game strategy development scouting and match preparation.
Reinforce positive team culture and emphasize accountability sportsmanship and leadership.
Coordinate with athletic training staff to ensure athlete safety conditioning and injury prevention.
Assist in identifying evaluating and recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
Support the Head Coach in ensuring all allotted LOIs are filled with high-quality recruits each season.
Build and maintain relationships with high school club and community coaches to expand recruiting networks.

Qualifications

Associates Degree required. Bachelors Degree or higher preferred.
Previous coaching or leadership experience required.
Strong communication recruiting and organizational skills.

Salary and Benefits

$20690 based on experience and education.

Compensation: $20690.00 per year

Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964 CCC now serves more than 2400 students annually.

In addition to a 57-acre main campus a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The College also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face online and hybrid courses.
