Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location you will greet employees and visitors verify credentials manage entry and exit points and document activity to support security-related operations. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license per Allied Universal policy supported by a caring agile team that acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification issuing temporary badges and/or passes maintaining visitor and contractor logs and directing authorized individuals to the proper location.
- Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles deliveries and contractors as required by site procedures including inspecting credentials confirming appointments and documenting unusual activity to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor alarms cameras radios and other security-related systems and report maintenance concerns hazards and/or policy deviations through the appropriate channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications completing written reports and conducting regular and random patrols of assigned areas when required by the post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
