Job Summary

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Business Development (BD) team at Anduril identifies shapes captures and grows new opportunities. The team seeks to deeply understand user problems how current solutions fail to solve them and how Anduril capabilities and products can address these gaps to deliver more effective mission outcomes. BD is the bridge between customers and the broader Anduril team - we convey customer perspectives internally while serving as an ambassador for Anduril externally. We have ambitious objectives but create actionable pathways and take calculated risks to achieve them while measuring progress against clear interim milestones. We are intellectually curious about technology mission problems and our customers to include their organizational dynamics and acquisition processes. We partner with Andurils Business Lines to ensure our products exceed customer expectations and mission demands and continuously improve to adapt to ever-changing operating environments.

This role is based in Taipei Taiwan. As BD Director you will play an instrumental role in the growth of Anduril in Taiwan. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the national security community in Taiwan. You will work with the Country Lead to drive on-the-ground customer engagement.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Support Andurils Global Defense organization and country team in developing adapting and executing our growth strategy in Taiwan.
  • Lead the generation and capture of business opportunities across Taiwans Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the broader national security landscape
  • Regularly engage with current and future customers to nurture deep and effective relationships
  • Partner with our Mission Operations teams which executes existing contracts to grow business with current customers and explore new opportunities
  • Engage partners competitors and the interested public to project the companys mission and values
  • Collaborate with our Supply Chain lead in Taiwan to build B2B relationships that enhance resilience and product performance
  • Inform product development by learning the technical architecture of our products while clearly interpreting and conveying customer needs to internal teams
  • Develop customer presentations white papers and proposals that are accurate compelling and concise
  • Build internal work products and provide clear regular communications at the appropriate levels to inform decision making
  • Plan and execute critical events - product demonstrations customer visits trade shows Anduril executive visits
  • Learn and apply new business systems and internal tools

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to travel 25 50% required.
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin and English with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience within Taiwan Ministry of National Defense (MND) or national security establishment
  • Robust knowledge of Taiwans government procurement processes and US Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales processes
  • Technical acumen and deep familiarity with AI and autonomous systems
  • Robust knowledge of Taiwans defense industrial landscape
  • Track record of setting and achieving goals in a complex unstructured environment
  • Founders mentality to proactively own work across all functions of our business
  • Experience with complex systems involving hardware and software

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep relationships across Taiwan government and industry
  • Joint assignment(s) during your time in Taiwan MND
  • Experience managing technical government projects
  • STEM degree a plus

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
