Bonus potential of up to $600/month.

Job Requirements:
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
Experience
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Front desk or patient registration experience preferred
- BLS certification required at time of hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Certification / Equivalent Experience
Candidates with less than one year of Medical Assistant experience must hold one of the following certifications:
- CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)
- CMA Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
- RMA Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
- NCMA National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)
- NRCMA Nationally Registered Medical Assistant (NAHP)
In lieu of a Medical Assistant certification we will also accept:
- 1 years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- 1 years of phlebotomy experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)
- EMT Emergency Medical Technician
- Paramedic
- CNA Certified Nursing Assistant
***Candidates without an MA certification must obtain one within 15 months of hire***
CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date.
Essential Responsibilities
- Register patients and verify insurance and documentation
- Schedule appointments and process co-pays
- Prepare patients for examination and record medical history
- Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments
- Conduct point-of-care testing (flu strep urinalysis ECG HCG)
- Assist providers with patient care and procedures
- Maintain exam rooms supplies and medical records
- Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals
- Perform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks
- Support a safe organized and patient-centered clinical environment
- All other duties as assigned.
