TITLE: BHS Stipend Opportunity: BIMAS-2 Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services Department or their designee.
STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Department seeks a current BHS School Psychologist together with a member of their school team to initiate or reinstate universal behavioral health screening in their school via the the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System 2nd Edition (BIMAS-2). While the universal screening will be completed by staff and/or students during the school day this stipend is to support the training and preparation required to facilitate a new school-wide initiative. This opportunity will occur primarily from January 15 2026 to May 1 2026 as needed up to 25 hours. This time-bound position is available as part of a DESE grant that BPS has received.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BHS School Psychologist and their school-based partner (e.g. Social Worker MTSS Coordinator etc.) will be responsible for:
- Training: undergo at least two hours of content specific training and/or coaching with a BHS BIMAS-2 liaison.
- Work with the district BIMAS-2 liaison to create a screening roll out plan.
- Planning: prepare meeting notes informational documents to share with school teams and organizational systems for responding to and communicating screening results.
- Technical Assistance: assist staff in activating BIMAS accounts review and update class lists and other student/ staff data as needed prior to and during the screening window.
- Data Sharing: After screening is complete results are to be meaningfully shared with school teams (e.g. leadership teams CPT and/or grade level teams etc.).
- Documentation: maintain a log of completed activities.
- Feedback: complete a reflection/ feedback survey after screening is complete.
The stipend will be paid at the hourly rate of $59.39 for up to 25 hours once the responsibilities are completed.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working in Boston Public Schools;
- Appropriate school psychologist or related educational licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED:
- Prior training and/or experience implementing universal screening or other school-wide interventions and supports preferred.
