Overview: The Banquet Captain will work closely with the Event & Wedding Planner to oversee and manage catering operations during an event. This includes coordinating with kitchen staff service teams and vendors to ensure that food and beverage service runs smoothly and on schedule. This role is essential to ensure that every aspect of food and beverage service aligns with the events objectives and expectations.

Greets and welcomes guests to events in a friendly enthusiastic manner.
Supervises the cleanliness of guest contact areas.
Supervise and assist all servers bartenders hosts and bussers as needed throughout the meal/event period.
Establish and control weekly work schedules for catering staff.
Establish standardized event procedures and trains staff to properly execute them.
Follow standards and guidelines for cleanliness of guest contact areas.
Facilitates event set up tear down and follow ups as necessary for events.
Set up table settings linens napkins buffets grazing stations and/ or serve food and drinks based on the need of the event.
Replenishes water beverage and/ or coffee stations as well as refills disposable goods.
Perform cleaning tasks as well as breakdown of service including removing all linens glassware serving ware etc. used from the event.
Communicate effectively with managers and guests.
Cleans organizes and restocks equipment and/ or products used during events.
Performs side work including but not limited to salad prep appetizer and dessert prep for catering events.
Operational Oversight: The coordinator manages all catering operations during the event to include nights and weekends ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
Team Coordination: They work closely with kitchen staff service teams and vendors to guarantee that food and beverage service proceeds efficiently and according to schedule.
Client Liaison: Serving as the main point of contact for clients the coordinator communicates updates and addresses any questions or concerns in real time.
Problem Solving: The coordinator responds promptly to any issues that arise during the event taking appropriate action to resolve them and maintain service standards.
Quality Assurance: Throughout the event the coordinator ensures that all services meet the agreed-upon standards and fulfill client expectations.
