Banquet Server
Job Summary
Serves banquet function guests food and beverage items in a prompt professional and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications.
- Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
- Sets dining tables buffets and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
- Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen coolers and equipment.
- Assists in monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
- Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Prior banquet catering or restaurant experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry trays move banquet furniture and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- OLCC and Food Handlers certifications (or ability to obtain).
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
- Able to pass a drug test and pre-employment criminal background check.
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniform at all times.
- Must be able to deliver plated food clear tables and assist in banquet set up which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases and under the age of 25 for tobacco purchases.
- Must be over 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain current Food Handler Card and OLCC Service Permit.
