Job Description
As a Security Officer - Industrial Rover Driver in Palo Alto CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer supporting a busy retail and mall location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents assist guests and store teams with directions and concerns and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants shoppers and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas storefront corridors parking lots loading areas and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with medical calls disturbances suspicious activity and fire or intrusion alarms.
- Monitor access points and public areas observe for policy violations and help to deter theft vandalism and other unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.
- Document patrol activity incidents and other security-related observations in written reports and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
