Hackensack Meridian Health ( HMH ) Carrier Clinic has been a trusted source of compassionate help and supportive healing for patients and their families since 1910. One of the largest independent nonprofit central Jersey behavioral health facilities Carrier Clinic specializes in inpatient psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation for substance abuse. The facility provides a comprehensive array of expert care and education for adolescents teens adults and older adults at both inpatient and residential levels. Outpatient services offer ECT and drug abuse addiction treatment. The facility provides a safe compassionate and respectful environment and is set in a beautiful 100 acre country setting at the foothills of the Sourland Mountains in centrally located Belle Mead NJ. The team at HMH Carrier Clinic is driven by the goal of returning everyone to their family workplace community and the things they enjoy. The behavioral health clinical pharmacist faculty member will collaborate with pharmacists nurses and medical staff to optimize care in the inpatient setting. The faculty member will organize develop and participate in clinical and quality improvement activities. Clinical activities include but are not limited to the following: practice under collaborative practice agreement to optimize inpatient pharmacotherapy participation in quality initiatives to reduce readmissions enhance medication access participation in multidisciplinary rounds provide interprofessional education collaboration on policy and procedure development committee participation perform research and medication use evaluations conduct dosing consults support Medication Assistance Treatment initiatives follow hospital procedures for billing for services when appropriate provide community outreach support and precept. Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed at least two years of residency training with a PGY -2 in psychiatry/Behavioral Health or equivalent experience. Candidates must be highly motivated innovative and team-oriented and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide patient-centered care with a commitment to teaching service and professional advancement. Board certification is preferred. Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New Jersey is required.
