Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Custom Protection Officer Detention Hospital Permin Land O Lakes FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an armed Patrol Officer in a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and requests for assistance document observations and communicate clearly with staff and the public while delivering outstanding customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Control access at designated entry points by screening visitors verifying identification and/or credentials managing keys and badges as required and documenting access activity per site procedures.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation maintain required armed post equipment and communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives regarding security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
