Multi-Skilled Hub Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Hub Engineer to help strengthen our existing team and deliver outstanding service to our Hub Sortation Operation. 

In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and breakdowns on Hub sortation equipment from both a mechanical and electrical perspective. Due to the nature of our business and this role you will be required to work both day and nights shifts over a 4 week period (Panama Shift Pattern)

Other Key responsibilities of this role will be; 

• Responding to Breakdowns with Extensive fault finding (both electrical and mechanical)

• Completion of adhoc job requests for  repairs on all Hub Sortation equipment

• Carrying out all PPM and reactive maintenance of our Hub Sortation equipment. 

• Carrying out servicing work using the Pemac system including the completion of service reports and internal systems as required. 

• Using SCADA systems to aid fault finding of all Hub sortation systems.

• Liaising with other departments including Security Operations and IT regarding maintenance and repair work in line with business and operational requirements.

• Adhering to and promotion of health & safety policies (including COSHH)

Qualifications :

What were looking for

• Ideally you will have completed an Electrically biased engineering maintenance engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or hold an appropriate engineering qualification (HND/HNC/BTEC/NVQ) 

• Experience within a fast paced automated environment with demonstrable experience of both electrical and mechanical repair. 

• Excellent problem solving skills with an ability to work effectively under pressure and within Time constraints

• Demonstrate high levels of resilience self-motivation and flexibility.

• A strong team player  with a can do mentality towards work.

Additional Information :

Job Specifics 

This role will require you to work shifts which will include working both days and nights. 

A full UK driving licence is essential as travel between other Hubs Sites may be required.
