Table Games Dealer Class is unpaid and a start to an exciting new career in the casino industry!
- Classes are currently open.
- Classes are Monday - Thursday from 9am - 1pm or 2pm to 6pm.
- Once the class is completed an audition will be administered. If you pass the audition you will move forward with new hire orientation.
- Pass a basic math assessment.
- Successfully complete an interview assessment.
- Demonstrate exceptional guest service skills including a positive demeanor and calm steady temperament.
- Demonstrate and maintain strong ethical standards.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
- Attending Dealer School does not automatically guarantee employment as a Table Games Dealer.
- Must be able to successfully complete the gaming process and obtain a level 2 gaming license and maintain license.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE DEALER CLASS - INTERNAL CANDIDATES:
Learn to deal assigned games in an accurate manner while providing outstanding customer service.
- Deal game according to standard rules company procedures and applicable gaming regulations.
- Shuffle and deal cards accurately to customers.
- Quickly and accurately calculate face value of cards.
- Exchange cash for proper denominations of chips.
- Pick up losing bets and cards from customers betting square. Pay winning bets and place chips in appropriate betting square.
- Complete any required forms records and documents.
- Provides superior customer service positively effects interactions with customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
- Provides prompt accurate and courteous service to players utilizing the highest degree of technical skill in dealing while adhering to established standard policies and procedures.
- As called upon explains aspects of various games to gaming patrons.
- Processes all cash and maintains proper handling and accounting for assigned property items.
- Maintains familiarity with other gaming and entertainment/service activities for Belterra Casino Resort & Spa patrons in order to provide information and correct answers to questions.
- Maintains an intimate and sound understanding of all standards policies and procedures including general policies and procedures of the Table Games Department.
Qualifications :
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable company policies and gaming regulations.
- Must have excellent customer skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time for majority of shift.
- Must be able to bend and reach across gaming table.
- Must be able to use hands to deal and collect playing cards.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.
