We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations in a fast-paced high-growth fintech environment. This role will manage financial reporting the month-end close process internal controls and compliance while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team.
The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise and thrives in a dynamic evolving regulatory landscape. Fintech or crypto experience is preferred but not required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Financial Reporting & Close
- Lead the month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS.
- Ensure accuracy completeness and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger activity journal entries and account reconciliations.
Technical Accounting
- Research and interpret accounting standards and apply them to complex transactions.
- Develop accounting policies and ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Partner with external auditors on technical accounting matters and audit deliverables.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
- Partner with Finance Systems and cross-functional teams to enhance ERP and reporting tools.
- Implement scalable accounting procedures to support business growth.
Team Leadership
- Manage mentor and develop accounting staff.
- Establish clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with FP&A Treasury Tax Legal and Operations teams.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and new product launches.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
- Experience managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Preferred
- CPA (or equivalent professional certification).
- Experience in fintech crypto or financial services industries preferred.
- Experience with multinational entities and multi-currency accounting.
- Internal controls and audit management experience.
