Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Responder in Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation requesting assistance and coordinating with local public sector partners when needed.
- Control access at designated entry points by screening visitors verifying credentials directing foot and vehicle traffic and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs including observations from patrols contacts made and actions taken and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
