Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Office Logistics & Facilities Support Specialist. The Logistics & Facilities Support Specialist will play a critical role in supporting daily operations for the IFMC Field Office in El Paso Texas. This position provides essential logistical transportation and facilities support to the Overhaul and Repair missions ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment vehicles and AIAMD Major End Items (MEIs) across CONUS and OCONUS locations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with military or industrial logistics operations vehicle maintenance heavy equipment movement and warehouse support. They must be capable of operating a variety of military and civilian platforms including FMTV 5Ton variants and the M983A4 10Ton Tractor and demonstrate proficiency in loading and securing sensitive equipment for strategic airlift on aircraft such as the C17 and C5 Galaxy. Familiarity with Joint Inspections (JI) Technical Inspections (TI) and cargo preparation standards is highly valuable.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with logistics such as supply chain coordination and vendor engagement.
- Support daily Field Office and warehouse operations through a full range of logistical and facilities functions.
- Perform routine maintenance safety checks and inspections on Government Service Activity (GSA) and military vehicles.
- Operate a variety of civilian and military platforms including:
- FMTV 5Ton variants for transporting sensitive shop equipment and AIAMD MEIs.
- M983A4 10Ton Tractor for MEI movement and heavy equipment transport.
- Load and secure sensitive military and civilian equipment on:
- Strategic airlift aircraft such as the C17 Globemaster III and C5 Galaxy.
- Removable Goose Neck (RGN) trailers and similar heavy transport platforms.
- Contribute and coordinate with team members to plan prepare and execute shipments of AIAMD MEIs and components to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Support Joint Inspections (JI) and Technical Inspections (TI) for all outbound equipment.
- Assist with facility and infrastructure maintenance within warehouse and administrative workspaces.
- Participate in planning meetings performance reviews and field briefings.
- Foster a culture of accountability transparency and continuous improvement.
- Perform additional duties assigned to support mission readiness.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with 2 years experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent with 10 years experience. 4 additional years of specialized Military training can be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors degree
- 2 years of experience operating military vehicles and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with airlift preparation cargo securement and heavy equipment loading procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to lift move and handle heavy equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field
- 4 years of experience with military logistics warehouse operations or vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Held Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 14T 14E or 88M.
- Familiarity with airlift preparation cargo securement and heavy equipment loading procedures.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse operational teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite excellent verbal and written communication abilities
