This opportunity is with a well-established 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in the Los Angeles area seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its collaborative medical team.
In this role you will provide urgent and critical care for patients presenting with emergency medical needs while working alongside experienced veterinary professionals in a supportive hospital environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing emergency care for sick and injured patients

Developing diagnostic and treatment plans

Managing hospitalized patients

Overseeing veterinary technicians implementing treatment plans

Performing emergency procedures and surgeries

Delivering a high level of patient and client care

This is a large multi-specialty emergency and referral veterinary hospital providing advanced care for pets experiencing urgent or complex medical conditions.
The hospital operates 24 hours a day and offers a wide range of specialty services including surgery cardiology neurology oncology and internal medicine. The team includes experienced emergency veterinarians board-certified specialists and highly trained support staff who work collaboratively to manage complex cases.
The facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology and modern treatment capabilities allowing the team to provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients while partnering closely with referring primary care veterinarians.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent
-
Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain) in the state of employment

DEA license or eligibility

Experience in emergency medicine preferred

Internship training or previous emergency experience strongly valued
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials.
Typical full-time compensation range:
$200000 $250000 annually under a PROSAL compensation model
