RSU 19 seeks a proactive and experienced Director of Facilities to oversee all building operations maintenance custodial and grounds activities.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in facilities management construction or a related field.
- Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- Strong project management leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of wood boilers chemical hygiene water quality and testing and integrated pest management preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight: Manage all daily facility operations maintenance and custodial services across the District that currently employes 18 full-time and 4 part-time custodians.
- Maintenance & Security: Develop preventative maintenance plans co-manage building security systems and ensure compliance with safety/environmental standards. The District employees 1 fulll-time and 1 part-time maintenance worker.
- Team Leadership: Hire train supervise and evaluate maintenance and custodial staff.
- Vendor Management: Supervise external contractors for repairs construciton projects renovations and maintenance.
- Budgeting: Develop manage and monitor the Districts operational and capital budget including the creationand maintenance of contracts (snow plowing mowing and preventativemaintenace contracts).
- Performs other duties as assigned by the District Superintendent.
