Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gate Driver in Freeport TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer helping manage entry points verify credentials and guide visitors and deliveries with professional customer service. You will monitor activity complete security-related documentation and communicate clearly with site personnel while remaining visible to help discourage unauthorized access. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors vendors and employees by following site-specific access control procedures badge requirements and security-related policies at an industrial chemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and authorization issue temporary credentials as directed and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Operate access control systems maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs and complete required documentation for entries exits deliveries and contractor activity.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications and basic scene control until additional support arrives.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including building perimeters parking areas and key checkpoints noting and reporting conditions that may require attention.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
