An exceptional secondary school in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead and develop the schools SEND provision.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable SEN professional to ensure that all students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the schools SEND provision
Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEND
Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
Work closely with teachers to support inclusive classroom practice
Oversee the development and review of Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Coordinate support staff working with students with additional needs
Monitor and track the progress of students with SEND
Liaise with parents carers and external agencies
Deliver training and guidance to staff on SEND strategies
Support teachers in adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Manage and evaluate interventions to ensure effectiveness
Promote an inclusive school culture where all students feel valued

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
Experience working with students with SEND at secondary level
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and external agencies
Strong communication skills when working with parents and carers
Commitment to inclusive education
Ability to analyse student data and evaluate intervention strategies
Passion for supporting students with additional needs
