- Base salary range: $134288 $142099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Office of Research is responsible for formulating and providing policy advice and for developing and implementing procedures to effectively coordinate and administer externally and internally funded research activities which enhance the Universitys research reputation. The Research Operations Team is responsible for the procurement and administration of internally and externally funded research grants contracts and postdoctoral research fellowships.
About the opportunity
- Lead and manage the Post Award Team in administering the Universitys internally and externally funded research grants.
- Provide strategic planning and direction to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and influence policies procedures and processes to support the smooth and effective functioning of the postaward area.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise and understanding of Australian higher education research funding and policy.
- Excellent demonstrated high level interpersonal verbal and written communication and negotiation skills to enable consultation at executive level.
- Ability to vet and negotiate research contracts.
- Ability to supervise staff and allocate resources.
