About the Role

We are seeking a strategic hands-on Finance Manager to lead and oversee all accounting tax and audit operations for our business across Europe. Based in Belgium and reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations and Finance you will be a cornerstone of our regional leadership. This role is designed for a leader who can balance the rigor of US GAAP and local statutory requirements while driving operational excellence in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment. You will play a vital role in connecting our regional financial health with our global mission.

Details: Full-time (40 hours/week) CDI - Open-ended contract. Primary Work Location: Leuven Belgium.

Essential Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead a high-performing regional finance team covering accounting tax compliance treasury and AP ensuring alignment with global financial policies.

• Financial Operations: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for Europe in line with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

• Compliance & Audit: Manage external audits and relationships with tax authorities ensuring all regulatory obligations are met across European jurisdictions.

• Treasury & Cash Management: Monitor regional cash flow and liquidity while managing banking relationships and funding strategies.

• Global Liaison: Act as the key bridge between European operations and our US corporate headquarters for all financial and accounting matters.

Experience

• Required Experience: 1015 years of progressive finance experience including at least 5 years in a leadership role with international or regional scope.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of local statutory requirements across Europe and US GAAP. Experience in a matrixed global organization (preferably US-headquartered) is essential.

• Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or Accounting. A CPA CA or equivalent professional qualification is a strong asset.

• Traits of a Successful Candidate: Strategic mindset with strong business acumen high level of integrity and the ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams across different geographies.

• Languages: Professional fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch French or other European languages is a plus.

Wij zijn op zoek naar een strategische hands-on Finance Manager om alle boekhoudkundige fiscale en auditactiviteiten voor onze Europese activiteiten te leiden. Gevestigd in België en rapporterend aan de Senior Director Business Operations and Finance word je een sleutelfiguur binnen ons financiële team. Deze rol is ideaal voor een leider met een sterke staat van dienst in een internationale omgeving die het evenwicht kan bewaren tussen US GAAP en lokale wettelijke vereisten terwijl hij operationele uitmuntendheid stimuleert.

Details: Voltijds (40 uur/week) CDI - Contract van onbepaalde duur. Werkplek: Leuven België.

Essentiële verantwoordelijkheden

• Leiderschap & Strategie: Aansturen van een hoogwaardig regionaal financieel team verantwoordelijk voor boekhouding belastingen treasury en AP.

• Financiële Operaties: Verantwoordelijk voor de maand- en jaarafsluitingsprocessen voor Europa volgens US GAAP en lokale vereisten.

• Compliance & Audit: Beheren van externe audits en relaties met belastingautoriteiten in verschillende rechtsgebieden.

• Treasury & Cash: Bewaken van de regionale cashflow liquiditeit en werkkapitaalbehoeften.

• Samenwerking: Fungeren als de belangrijkste schakel tussen het wereldwijde hoofdkantoor (VS) en de regionale activiteiten voor alle boekhoudkundige zaken.

Ervaring

• Vereiste ervaring: 1015 jaar progressieve ervaring in finance waarvan minimaal 5 jaar in een leidinggevende rol met regionale of internationale reikwijdte.

• Technische kennis: Sterke kennis van lokale wettelijke vereisten (en US GAAP). Ervaring in een matrixorganisatie bij voorkeur met hoofdkantoor in de VS.

• Kwalificaties: Bachelor of Master in Finance of Accountancy. Een CPA CA of gelijkwaardige kwalificatie is een grote troef.

• Eigenschappen: Strategische mindset integriteit sterke analytische vaardigheden en het vermogen om diverse teams over verschillende regios te leiden.

• Talen: Vloeiend in het Engels; kennis van het Nederlands Frans of andere Europese talen is een pluspunt.
