We are looking for an experienced Depot Repair Specialist to join our brand new Service Depot in Dublin. This handson position is ideal for someone with solid electronics repair experience who enjoys technical problemsolving precision work and contributing to the performance of safetycritical detection systems used worldwide.
As a Depot Repair Specialist you will:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot defective electronic service parts down to component level
- Perform repairs rework and maintenance on X-ray and trace detection equipment components
- Test repaired parts to verify performance against specifications
- Document repair activities accurately and consistently
- Work closely with technicians and engineers on complex issues
- Maintain a safe clean and organised work environment
- Provide insights into recurring faults and support process improvements
Background & Experience Were Looking For
Were seeking someone with practical hands-on experience in the repair diagnostics or servicing of electronic equipment. Ideal backgrounds include:
- Electronics repair technicians (consumer electronics industrial electronics PCBs)
- Depot or workshop repair specialists
- Maintenance technicians or engineers working with electromechanical systems
- Technicians from manufacturing repair centres medical devices automotive electronics aviation electronics or similar environments
- Anyone with strong component-level troubleshooting and soldering skills
Your expertise supports:
- High-quality repairs that reduce downtime for customers
- Reliability and performance of critical detection equipment
- Continuous improvement in depot repair processes
- Collaboration across engineering supply chain and service teams
Qualifications :
- Proven experience repairing electronic components and assemblies
- Strong understanding of circuits schematics and diagnostic techniques
- Ability to work with tools test equipment and repair processes in a depot environment
- High attention to detail and methodical working style
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment when required
- Technical certification/qualification in electronics (preferred)
- IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification (advantageous)
